In sessions, Kristen cultivates an affirming space where clients can be, experience, and express however they need to in the moment.

Kristen works collaboratively with clients and families to set individualized goals that build upon each person’s unique interests, strengths, and resources. A Music Therapy session with Kristen may involve music listening, singing, dancing, music improvisation, songwriting, or learning an instrument (violin, guitar, piano, ukulele, & voice).

Kristen received her Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University which emphasized culturally responsive approaches to music therapy. She has additional training in early childhood music therapy, drum circle facilitation, and guided imagery and music.

Kristen’s clients describe her as warm, open-minded, creative, and flexible. She meets clients where they are and co-creates a musical journey to support their emotional, social, physical, and spiritual health.
