Memory Care
& Hospice
Music helps older adults to access their inner musician, acknowledging their strengths and wisdom from a lifetime of loving music. Music therapy helps to reduce isolation and promote joy and connection for seniors living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, depression, anxiety and others through singing, rhythmic games, and music reminiscence.
Medical
& Pediatrics
In the hospital, music therapy has been found to reduce length of stay, manage pain, improve vital signs, and offer essential social-emotional support. Music therapy is individualized to each patient’s needs, bringing relaxation, expression, and empowerment. From listening to songwriting to dance parties, music therapy meets each patient where they’re at.
Mental Health
Music is a refuge when dealing with a mental health crisis. Music therapy supports those with mental health needs by providing calm, comfort and stress relief, offering a safe space for expressing difficult emotions, and sparking moments of hope and joy. People with depression, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, or everyday life stressors can benefit.
How it Works
Music Therapy starts with an assessment, during which your therapist will engage you in personalized, fun music experiences and collaborate with you to set goals. From there, music therapy sessions may involve a wide range of music experiences, such as music listening and discussion, singing, movement, music improvisation, songwriting, or recording/performance, depending on your interests and established goals.
